Abstract: The genus Bacillus species are aerobic, rod-shaped and spore-forming Gram-positive bacteria and isolated from various natural environments including plants, soil, water, seawater and animals. The Bacillus cereus group, also called Bacillus cereus senusu lato (s.l.), comprises 18 valid species. In the group, two specific species, B. anthracis and B. cereus, are well-characterized as human pathogens, the pathogenic mechanisms and virulence of other species are not well understood. In this study, we will analysis the whole genome sequences clinical isolates of B. cereus and re-identify species. And then, we will check the virulence factor of the isolates using the whole genome sequence data.
