Abstract: In the present study, we used high-resolution amplicon sequencing of 16S rRNA genes to characterize, for the first time, the rhizosphere bacterial microbiome of Pea (Pisum sativum) from the North-eastern region of India. Here, the fields are maintained by crop rotations since last eight years by growing rice and pea, alternatively and the fields are sustained with the six different nutrient management practices and three different tillage treatments. Differences in the bacterial composition across the different tillage treatments and organic and inorganic nutrient management practices were studied
