Show abstractHide abstract
The Strongylocentrotus purpuratus genome has been sequenced using a combination of Sanger (~8X coverage), SOLiD (~18X), Illumina (~40x), and PacBio (~11X) by the Human Genome Sequencing Center<http://www.hgsc.bcm.tmc.edu/projects/seaurchin/> at Baylor College of Medicine, using a combination of whole genome shotgun (WGS) and BAC-based sequencing.
